REFLECTIONS ARTS PROGRAM (NATIONAL PTA):
The Reflections Arts Program is a National PTA arts recognition program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings, and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful not only in school but in life.
Students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a theme. The theme for 2025-2026 Reflections Arts Program is “I Belong!”
Students submit their completed works of art in one or more of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts. Washington State PTA finalists who receive an “Outstanding Interpretation” award will advance to the National PTA round.
ART SUBMISSION DUE DATE: TBD (likely early November)
The standard grade divisions are available through Forest View PTA:
- Primary: Pre-School – Grade 2
- Intermediate: Grades 3 – 5
There is also a Special Artist Division available for Forest View students in Kindergarten – Grade 5! The National PTA Special Artist Division is an option for students with a disability as defined under Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
***IMPORTANT: We will need volunteers to help coordinate and promote the program during September-November, as well as to judge student entries for the program. If interested, let us know in our PTA Supporter Survey or PTA Interest Signup Form.***
