January 8, 2026:

At the first meeting of 2026, Principal Stoddard provided school updates and information regarding the upcoming EPS Bond & Levy vote, our PTA provided recaps of recent fundraiser nights and our "Cookies + Cans" family event, and our members approved several updates to our PTA budget. Our PTA Board of Directors also announced upcoming events, including Popcorn Fridays on January 9 and January 30, WSPTA Focus Day on January 19, Movie Night on January 30, and our next "Healthy Living" parent education session on February 12. Our Programs Chairperson recapped the participation from Forest View students for the Reflections Arts Program, and announced the upcoming WSPTA Essay Contest. Our Yearbook Chairperson reminded members that the deadline for the Yearbook Cover Art Contest is January 16.

 

November 13, 2025:

The meeting began with Principal Stoddard presenting information regarding the upcoming Bond & Levy, and then our PTA members in attendance voted to endorse the Bond & Levy. Our members also elected the Nominating Committee who will oversee finding a slate of officer candidates for the next PTA term (2026-2027); elected to the Nominating Committee were EarthSong Long, Denise Evensen, and Michelle Johnson. The meeting also provided a recap of the annual Fun Run Fundraiser, Costume Bingo family event, first session of the Healthy Living parent education series, Reflections program update, and Yearbook updates.

 

September 11, 2025:

Our first PTA Membership Meeting of the new school year took place on September 11. We discussed our PTA's plans for the school year, the fun events we have scheduled, and how you can help us be successful in making this school year great for our students and staff. We also introduced our new PTA Board of Directors, approving our 2025-2026 Goals and updated PTA Annual Budget, reviewing the status of our Standards of Affiliation tracker, heard observations and recommendations from our Annual Financial Review Committee, and recapped the recent August Leadership Launch training event.
